Accent Strings – Monique Irik and Jane Stanley (violins), Daniel Williams (viola) and Emily Palethorpe (cello). The concert’s first half comprised ten baroque and classical favourites beginning with Arrival of the Queen of Sheba from the Oratorio Solomon by Handel; the concert’s second half commenced with the popular Meditation from the opera Thaϊs by Massenet and concluded with Habanera from Bizet’s Carmen Suite.

Alf & Pearl Pollard Memorial Awards for Performance Excellence held in association with Sydney Eisteddfod. Ten of the most outstanding instrumentalists aged 11-15 from the 2018 Eisteddfod. Performances are followed by an audience vote and the awarding of prizes.

November
Cantorion Sydney Male Voice Choir with Musical Director/tenor soloist Ben Oxley, soprano soloist Samanta Lestavel, bass baritone soloist David Watson, accompanist Mavis Wang and compere Greg Bell. The audience enjoyed a diversity of choral music ranging from Welsh folk songs including the Welsh Traditional All through the Night, to a South African Folk song, some traditional American Gospel music and more.
