Dear Music Lovers,

On 12 March we travelled to the city of Paris for an exciting and memorable concert as Nexas Saxophone Quartet revealed the profound influence this vibrant city had on the musical style and creative approach of George Gershwin.

Our May concert was a very entertaining evening with the extraordinarily diverse musician, pianist and composer John Martin delighting us with a glimpse in the life of Noel Coward. Congratulations John on this creative and much enjoyed program.

In June, the Sydney Mandolin Orchestra, now in its 91st year, delighted us with its distinctive sounds with music from around the world, and interesting anecdotes. It was a memorable evening for all our attendees.

On 13 August, the Lurline Quartet of Maria Lindsay, Heather Burnley, Darrin McCann and Janine Boubbov presented a joyous programme of favourite classics from Mozart, Schubert and Rachmaninov, to more recent repertoire from David Stone and Alfred Hill, and some gems from the musicals

In October we will again be surprised and captivated by the talent of 10 young prize-winning instrumentalists selected from the 2024 Sydney Eisteddfod for our Annual Pollard Awards Concert.
In November, the Sydney Male Choir, now over 100 years old, will return to Lane Cove and “bring joy through song” with their huge range and versatility of repertoire.
